2025.4.15 DBJ and Suzuki Co. Visit NYCU to Discuss Semiconductor Ecosystem and Talent Cultivation

    On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, a delegation of five representatives from the Oita Office of the Development Bank of Japan (DBJ), led by Office Director Ms. Makiko Sano, along with Mr. Kiyomi Suzuki, President of the semiconductor trading company Suzuki Co., visited NYCU for a formal exchange of views.

   During the meeting, the delegation inquired about the development of semiconductor talent in Taiwan. In response, representatives from NYCU’s College of Management and TJEO provided an overview of the operational background of the Science Parks in Taiwan, as well as NYCU’s advanced talent cultivation programs.

   Director Seiji Samukawa of TJEO also emphasized that “the development of the semiconductor industry depends on the establishment of a robust ecosystem, and the Hsinchu Science Park serves as one of the best examples of such a model.” He further explained that NYCU is committed to cultivating highly skilled professionals, many of whom, upon graduation, pursue careers at companies located within the science park adjacent to the university campus. Moreover, through industry-academia collaboration and scholarship programs, companies actively contribute substantial resources to support these initiatives. It is hoped that Japanese companies will look to this model as a reference and similarly promote the development of a semiconductor ecosystem within Japan.

2025年4月15日 日本政策投資銀行大分事務所および株式会社スズキの皆さんが陽明交通大学を訪問しました

    2025年4月15日（火）、日本政策投資銀行（Development Bank of Japan, DBJ）大分事務所佐野真紀子事務所長をはじめとする五名、及び半導体商社株式会社スズキの鈴木清己社長が陽明交通大学を訪れ、意見交換を行いました。

    訪問団の皆さんからは台湾における半導体人材の育成について質問し、陽明交通大学の管理学院と台日交流推進室からは、台湾のサイエンスパークの運営背景や、陽明交通大学における高度人材育成計画について紹介しました。

   台日交流推進室の寒川誠二主任からは、「半導体産業の発展には健全なエコシステムの構築が不可欠であり、新竹サイエンスパークはその最良の例です」と強調しました。陽明交通大学では高度専門人材の育成に力を入れており、修了後は大学に隣接する新竹サイエンスパーク内の企業へと就職する例が数多く見られます。また、企業側も大学との産学連携や奨学金制度などを通じて、豊富なリソースを提供しています。日本の企業にもこのモデルを参考にしていただき、日本国内でも同様に、半導体エコシステムの構築が進む期待が語られました。
